The novel follows Fatima and Bessem’s life-changing romance which blossoms\, despite an atmosphere of threat due to the criminalisation of same-sex relationships in their home country of Cameroon. Chaired by Bee Rowlatt\, author of a number of award-winning books and coming to Primadonna this year with One Woman Crime Wave. Bee led the campaign for the Mary Wollstonecraft memorial – the most trolled artwork in living memory – and came out fighting across national and international media.
