Georgy Jamieson

Georgy is a broadcaster and writer who worked with BBC Local Radio for several years, interviewing celebrities, artists, authors, politicians, sportspeople, and local business owners. She now produces and presents the Radio Academy podcast and writes articles on the history of classic British comedy. On stage, she’s interviewed comedy legend John Clesse, celebrated playwright, director and actor Stephen Berkoff, the doctor and medical researcher Professor Lord Robert Winston and the actor Robert Powell about their lives and careers. She’s also hosted sessions at the Felixstowe Book Festival, Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival, and Norwich Film Festival, where she interviewed the director Michael Winterbottom, and at the Big Comedy Conference in London with the heads of comedy at Channel 4, BBC Studios, ITV and Radio 4.
