Primadonna hits its crescendo with a musical interview with multi-instrumentalist, actress, singer, writer and educator, Anna Mudeka.  Anna talks to Primadonna Jane Dyball about her sold-out one woman show, Mama Afrika, which celebrates the life and work of Dr Miriam Makeba, and Anna will perform some of Makeba’s iconic songs for the Primadonna audience.  Mama Afrika charts Miriam Makeba’s rise from the townships of Johannesburg to global star, forced into exile for her stand against apartheid and marginalised for fighting for Black rights. Anna’s joyful interpretation of some of Makeba’s most memorable songs, including Mbube, Pata Pata and Soweto Blues is guaranteed to have you singing your way home.
