Primadonna is unique: it’s a festival of books and writing, but it’s so much more. We curate three days of inspired programming in a beautiful setting, with everything included in the ticket price: from morning yoga to campfire comedy to late-night live music.
We want you to immerse yourself in a whole weekend of exploring ideas, hearing from firm favourites and discovering new talent.
This means we commit to building a festival site with everything you’ll need for a perfect weekend, helped by the brilliant venue staff and our amazing production team. We do everything we can to keep costs down as well as keep ticket prices low. We want the festival to be affordable and inclusive, so we offer free entry to those who would otherwise be unable to come and we make sure we consider the needs of people with seen and unseen disabilities.
We’re supported by Arts Council England, Suffolk County Council and Babergh and Mid-Suffolk District Council, but we’re still new on the festival circuit and are building relationships with sponsors and partners. We have a way to go to make the festival self-sustaining, as it takes time to embed an event like ours and bring people along with our ideas.
